The Rom Skatepark - Havering

Built in 1978, The Rom Skatepark was designed by Adrian Rolt of G-Force and in 2014 became the first skatepark in England to receive national listed status. Following a fire in 2018 the park lost its (unlisted) indoor facilities and closed, re-opening briefly but again closed, requiring concrete and drainage repairs. Owners are considering surveys to identify appropriate approaches to repair, with advice from Historic England. A Community Benefit Company, Rom Skatepark Ltd, has been set up and is actively seeking ways to re-open the skatepark.
