East stable and attached out-buildings at Shireoaks Hall, Shireoaks - Bassetlaw

Early C18 stable and outbuildings, possibly by Sir Thomas Hewitt, located north west of Hall. Set in C17 and early C18 formal landscape. A pair to the West Stable. Historic England visited with Council representatives in 2019 by which time the building was in very poor condition. There were slipped and broken roof slates, masonry was open jointed. There were notable cracks and displaced blocks.A significant self-set sapling was growing through the roof. Historic England encouraged the owner to take positive action and, subsequently, the local authority to consider options to secure this site.
