Railings, walls, gate piers and gates to Caledonian Park, Market Road N7 - Islington
Railings, walls and gates to Caledonian Market built in 1854 (market demolished). There are major failures to the cast iron, with severe cracking in places. As part of the Cally Clock Tower Project, funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and the Local Authority, some localised repairs are being prioritised and preparatory modelling undertaken. Significant further funding is required in order to reinstate all the decorative features and effect suitable repairs and the Local Authority is developing a phased strategy for this long-term project.
