Ice house to Sundridge Park, Plaistow Lane, Bromley - Bromley

Ice house circa 1800, in the south west corner of a late C18 landscape park designed by Humphry Repton, now a golf course. The ice house has previously been subject to vandalism despite strenuous efforts by the owners to prevent access. A local archaeological group identified its exact location. The Local Authority is working with them and the golf club to improve management of the ground above, but internal access to assess its condition remains difficult. Further visits are planned for autumn 2024.
