North west pillbox, Fort House, A193 (east side of), Hartley, Seaton Sluice, Seaton Valley - Northumberland (UA)
Pillbox or defensible latrine, circa 1917. Rare survival as part of a World War I fort. Suffering from structural problems and lack of maintenance. A repair scheme has been drawn up with funding from Historic England which has informed an updated structural report in April 2019. Proposals for the repair and reuse of the pillbox are well advanced.
