Cleeve Workshops, Calvert Avenue E2 - Hackney

Row of workshops built 1895-8 to the design of Reginald Minton Taylor of London County Council as part of the Boundary Estate. All the workshops are in use and some repair and security works have taken place. Listed Building Consent was previously granted in 2019 for their refurbishment, and partially implemented. The Local Authority has taken enforcement action against multiple incidences of unlawful works. Planning Permission and Listed Building Consent applications for a revised repair and refurbishment scheme are under consideration as of spring 2024.
