Kennedy's, 18a, High Street, South Norwood SE25 - Croydon

Built in 1926 for Kennedy, a chain of South London butchers, now closed. The refurbishment of the upper floors and conversion of the rear of the ground floor for residential use began in early 2020 and was completed in 2021. The Local Authority has cautioned the owners about unauthorised works and the bad condition of the building. A feasibility study was commissioned as part of the South Norwood High Street Heritage Action Zone programme and the Local Authority is in discussions with the owner about further necessary repairs and the future of the shop.
