Tomb of Joseph Westwood, Southern Grove, Tower Hamlets Cemetery E3 - Tower Hamlets
A prominent funerary monument dating from 1883, in the form of a Decorated style wayside cross. It is in poor condition due to the loss of parts of its low railings, tiles, finials and other detailing. The Friends of Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park, who manage the site for the Local Authority, completed a Conservation Management Plan in 2023, with funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund. Following this, a structural survey was carried out of the tomb. The Friends are seeking funding for its repair as part of a wider programme of works for the cemetery park.
