Colonia wall and lower west gate, The Park, Lincoln - Lincoln
The remains of the lower west gate of the Roman colonia and adjoining walls. The remains were excavated in the 1970s and now serve as a thoroughfare. Weathering and vandalism have caused significant fabric loss. Vegetation is encroaching on the length of colonia wall north of the gate. Historic England has provided management advice to City of Lincoln Council. Heritage Lincolnshire is exploring partnership project opportunities.
