The Old Anchor, Harwood Hall Lane - Havering

C18 timber-framed house with C19 timber-framed outbuildings which continue the line of the rear wing. The house remains residential. The outbuilding was used as a workshop. It is in need of roof and brickwork repairs, new rainwater goods, and renewal of the timber lintels. The render on the side elevation of the house is showing signs of movement, with a major crack which has worsened considerably over time. The Local Authority and Historic England are monitoring the condition of the building and have discussed essential repairs with the owner.
