3 Hardy Monuments, Stinsford, Dorset
Three coffin type stone monuments to members of the family of the author Thomas Hardy. One to Thomas Hardy who died in 1892 and Jemima his wife who died in 1904. One to Mary, daughter of Thomas and Jemima Hardy, who died in 1914. One containing the heart of Thomas Hardy the author who died in 1928 (son of Thomas and Jemima) also to Emma, his first wife, who died in 1912, and Florence, his second wife, who died in 1937. All three are similar in design.
