Absalom's Oast, Seal, Kent

Absalom's Farm has two 19th-century oasthouses, a drying shed and a two-storey farmhouse. The wooden cowls on top of the oasts turn against the wind creating a difference in air pressure and so forcing the hot air from the kiln up through the drying hops.
