Ardington Mill and attached Pottery, Ardington, Oxfordshire

This water mill was built in the late 19th century. In c1880 a dairy was built onto the side of the mill. They supplied the Ardington bakery and shop with milk and dairy products. The mill was probably rebuilt, and the dairy built, as part of the progressive policy of the Lockinge Estate (the Estate had built a model village in East Lockinge in 1860).
