Bakers Almshouses, Leyton, Greater London

These almshouses date from 1857-66 and were designed by T E Knightley in an Italianate style. They were built from yellow brick and were laid out around 3 sides of open quadrangle. They were built by the London Master Bakers' Benevolent Institution. The institution was founded in 1832.
