Bodiam Castle, Bodiam, East Sussex

A full view of the castle surrounded by its moat. The castle was built shortly after 1385 when its owner, Sir Edward Dalyngrydge, was given licence to crenellate (i.e. build a fortified house or castle). It was fully restored by Lord Curzon in 1919.
