Cambridge Hall, Cambridge Avenue, Willesden, Greater London

This building was originally a church. It was built in 1863. It is made from prefabricated corrugated iron with a boarded wooden roof covered in corrugated asbestos. During the later Victorian period it was possible to buy a whole range of prefabricated corrugated iron buildings, anything from churches to cricket pavilions. They could be ordered direct from a catalogue - like many products today.
