Castle remains, Bungay, Suffolk

This castle was built by the Earl of Suffolk after his land was given back to him by Henry II. The King had previously taken the land from the Earl as punishment for the Earl's hostilities toward the monarch. It is not one of the largest castles in the country but has walls between 5 and 7 metres thick making it almost impregnable.
