Cat and Fiddle Mill, Ladywood Road, Dale Abbey, Derbyshire

A windmill dated 1788. It is a post mill and one of only three of the Midlands type preserved in the country. The body of the mill rotates around the post and is also supported via rollers from the roundhouse below. It rotates to allow the sails to catch the wind when it blows from a different direction.
