Charles Street Police, Charles Street, Leicester

This police station was built in 1933. It was built by G Noel Hill and A T Gooseman of Leicester City Architects' Department. It is a distinguished example of civic architecture, and forms a major architectural element in the inter-war replanning of the city. This planning aimed to divert road traffic away from the historic city centre.
