Chesterton Windmill, Chesterton, Warwickshire

This windmill was built in 1632 and probably designed by local landowner Sir Edward Peyto for himself. There was originally a central timber structure housing the staircase. It was associated with nearby Chesterton House, this was demolished in 1802. The Peyto's had been landowners in the area since the 12th century
