Chichester Festival Theatre, Oaklands Park, Chichester, West Sussex

The exterior of the Chichester Festival Theatre, showing its hexagonal design and reinforced-concrete construction. Founded by local opthalmist Leslie Evershed-Martin, it was built in 1961-2 by Powell & Moya. It was the first theatre in Britian to have an open stage with the audience seated on three sides.
