Cholmley School, Whitby, North Yorkshire

This school has the inscription "This school was built by Mrs Hannah Cholmley 1868". It was built as a memorial to her husband, Colonel George Cholmley, of Whitby Abbey and Howsham. In 1890 it had 168 scholars on its books, 15 of these were free scholars.
