Church of St Leonard, Hastings, East Sussex

This church was built between 1953 and 1961 by the brothers Giles and Adrian Gilbert Scott. Both those architects are the grandsons of the famous Victorian architect Sir George Gilbert Scott. The building's simplified, modernistic, Gothic style is an attractive example of the architects' post-war work. It shows a fusion of traditional and modern building methods. The church has a strong presence on the Hastings seafront.
