Cloth Hall, Colne, Lancashire

The Cloth Hall at Colne was built in 1775 for the sale of woollen goods. The area was important for the production of wool and worsted from the Middle Ages until the early 20th century, though it was gradually replaced during the 19th century by the cotton industry.
