Coldstream Guard, Tower of London, Stepney, London

The Coldstream Guard is one of the seven regiments of Guards and dates back to the 17th century. The Coldstream, Grenadier, Scots, Welsh and Irish Guards are identifiable by the plumes in their bearskins and the arrangement of button on their jackets. Although this soldier stood guard over 100 years ago his appearance differs little from that of the sentries on duty at the Tower today.
