Cowton Castle, South Cowton, North Yorkshire

A view of the south-west side of Cowton Castle. It is a late 15th century tower house. It was altered in the 19th century and repaired in 1980. It is rectangular in plan, with towers to the south west and north east. The building is three storeyed, with four storey towers, and is constructed of stone rubble, now with a concrete tile roof.
