Cranleigh Village Hospital, Cranleigh, Surrey

This timber framed hall house was built in the early 16th century. It was converted to a village hospital in 1859. A plaque records that it was "by Mr Albert Napper, Surgeon of Cranleigh". It was the first village hospital in England.
