East Gate, Warwick, Warwickshire

A view looking east along Jury Street towards East Gate. There is a small chapel, St Peter's Chapel, with a clock tower built over the archway, of 15th century origin. The archway was largely rebuilt in 1788 by Francis Hiorn. It is now a part of King's High School for Girls. Today the lower part of the building consists of the medieval masonry of the original town walls.
