Former Battery, Magazine Brow, Wallasey, Merseyside

The gateway to the former Liscard Battery is dated 1858. It is built to look like a castle gateway with battlements and arrow slits. Liscard battery was built to defend the approaches to Liverpool. It was built on the site of powder magazines.
