Former Workhouse, Church Street, Combe Martin, Devon

The left hand range was built in the late 18th or early 19th century as a workhouse. A large extension was added in the late 19th century when it became a school. The school has closed and the building has been used as a community centre. A parliamentary report of 1777 recorded 2 parish workhouses in Combe Martin which later became part of Barnstaple Poor Law Union.
