Foxhole, Former Dartington Hall School, Dartington, Devon

The school was built in 1931-2 and designed by Oswald P Milne for Dartington Hall in a Neo Georgian style. It was built on a Quadrangular plan with a main entrance tower, dining hall and offices in the front range. The school houses are in the long side ranges with classrooms at the corners. There is an assembly hall, library and studio linked by open air rooms and a loggia at the opposite end of the quadrangle. Dartington was a progressive, liberal co-educational school.
