Gatehouse to Mackworth Castle, Manor Road, Mackworth, Derbyshire

The gatehouse to Mackworth Castle dates from 1495-1500. The gatehouse formerly led to the courtyard of the fortified manor house known as Mackworth Castle. The roof is crenellated and has corner turrets. The front of the building is decorated above the gateway with carved stone heads and waterspouts.
