Grizedale Hall, Satterthwaite, Cumbria

The hall in Grizedale Hall seen from the top gallery stairs. In 1903, Harold Brocklebank bought the Grizedale Estate and had the hall completely rebuilt. The Bedford Lemere daybook records that the photograph was taken for him and that the architects of the new hall, built in 1905, were Walker, Carter & Walker.
