Interior of neolithic flint mine. Grime's Graves in Norfolk is the site of a Neolithic/Early Bronze Age flint mine (circa 3,000-2,000 BC). At least 433 shafts were dug, and the flint was quarried using antler picks. It was then used to make flint tools. This site is now in the care of English Heritage (2013).
