Ipswich (Stoke) Tunnel, Ipswich, Suffolk

A steam train emerging from the tunnel. It is the only railway tunnel on the Great Eastern Main Line. It is 330 m long and was built by Peter Bruff as part of the Ipswich to Ely Line. It was completed in 1846 and it is thought to be the earliest tunnel built on a sharp continuous curve.
