Ironstone fire chimney, Sparwood Mine, Guisborough, Cleveland

The chimney at Sparwood Mine dates from the 1860s and was one of only two in ironstone works on the North Yorkshire Moors; the majority of sites in Britain being in Northamptonshire, Leicestershire and Lincolnshire. It was demolished in 1997.
