Leeds School Of Medicine, Thoresby Place, Leeds, West Yorkshire

A view of the Dissecting Room within the New Medical School in Leeds, looking between the two rows of dissecting tables towards the gallery at the far end. The school was built between 1891 and 1894 to the designs of William Henry Thorp. This photograph was commissioned by Dr R N Hartley, a member of the Opthalmology section of the British Medical Association, and likely to have been a Professor at the School of Medicine. The school is now commonly known as the Old Medical School, and forms the Pathology Department of the University of Leeds' School of Medicine.
