Leicester Cathedral from New Street, Leicester

St Martin's Cathedral in Leicester, viewed from New Street. The parish church originates from the 12th century but was heavily restored during the 19th century. The spire seen here was built by Raphael Brandon in 1861-7. The church received cathedral status in 1927.
