Lime Grove Studios, Hammersmith, Greater London
Lime Grove Studios were orignially built as film studios by the Gaumont Film Company. They were built in 1915 and used as film studios until 1949 when they were acquired for the BBC. They were then used as television studios until 1991. They were demolished in 1993. According to the BBC 'Lime Grove studios produced a host of memorable shows, including Hancock's Half-Hour, Andy Pandy, Blue Peter, Steptoe & Son, Sooty, Doctor Who, Panorama, Nationwide, Grandstand and Breakfast Time.'
