Long Eaton Upper School, Long Eaton, Derbyshire

Long Eaton Upper School dates from 1911. It was deigned by George Widdows who was County Architect to Derbyshire in the early 20th century. He was a leading supporter of healthy school buildings. He designed schools whose classrooms allowed in plenty of light and air compared with earlier Victorian schools.
