Old Market Hall, Shrewsbury, Shropshire

Exterior view from the south-west of the Old Market Hall, with men standing beneath the arches, and horses and cart by a now demolished timber framed building beyond. The Market Hall in Shrewsbury was built in 1596. It served to replace the buildings previously on this site as a place for conducting the town's trade and was also used as the Mayor's Court.
