The east elevation of the Old Swinford Hospital Blue Coat School buildings. Old Swinford Hospital was a hospital school founded in around 1667-70 by Thomas Foley, an ironmaster from the Great Witley Estate in Worcestershire. The school was built to accommodate up to 60 boys. In the mid 1950s it became a voluntary aided school and was expanded.
