Park Langley 'Chinese' Garage, Stone Park Avenue, Beckenham, Greater London

This 'Chinese' style garage (petrol filling station) was built in 1928 by Edmund B. Clarke. It has its own garden with low shrubs and a pool, surrounded by a low wall. It is a remarkable survival from the early days of popular motoring. At this time only rich people would have been able to afford a motor car.
