Pier Road, Whitby, North Yorkshire
Whitby is traditionally both a port and fishing harbour and also a seaside resort. Pier Road is in West Whitby and leads to the main beach. It has a holiday atmosphere with amusement arcades, ice cream stalls and fish and chip shops. The fish market is on the right of this view. One of the two customs booths can be seen in the background, at the entrance to the West Pier.
