Prestige Building, Colne Road, Burnley, Lancashire

This factory was built in 1937 by Wallis, Gilbert and Partners. It was built for the Burnley Corporation Development Committee to ameliorate (lessen) the effects of the decline of the cotton industry in the town. It is built in a striking 1930s style of architecture. The same architects also designed the iconic Firestone Factory in Brentwood and Hoover Factory in London.
