Pulls Ferry at Water Gate, Ferry Lane, Norwich, Norfolk

View of Pulls Ferry with the River Wensum in front. The ferry, named after one of the ferrymen, is in front of the 15th century Water Gate. The gate consists of one very wide archway and a pedestrian archway by its side. It was an entrance to the cathdral Close for a canal that led to the cathedral. The canal was used to bring stone in for the building of the cathedral. The gate was restored in 1948-9.
