Quarr Abbey, Fishbourne Park Road, Ryde, Isle of Wight

This farmhouse was built in the early 1800s. It is on the site of a Savigniac and Cistercian monastery founded in 1132. It was known as St. Mary's Abbey. It was closed as part of the Dissolution of the monasteries in 1536. The remains and sites of the principal buildings are in a pasture field on farmland nearby.
