Replica Stone Age Flint Tool Kit

These are modern replicas of Stone Age tools. To the left is a stone axe in a wooden handle, in the centre is a flint knife blade attached to a wooden handle, to the right is a sickle made by gluing flint blades onto a curved piece of antler and below is a flint arrowhead attached to a wooden shaft. It is important to remember that archaeologists only find things that don’t rot away. They find the hard flint that lasts for thousands of years but nothing remains of the wood, antler, bone, string or glue that once made it into a usable tool.
