A group portrait showing members of the Royal Flying Corps outside Shirley Park. In the latter years of the First World War the Clubhouse at Shirley Park Golf Club was used as an auxiliary convalescent hospital for airmen of the Royal Flying Corps. The photograph was taken for the "Overseas Club", whose members funded aeroplanes and supported convalescent hospitals during the Great War.
