Sir Robert Hitcham's Almshouses, New Road, Framlingham, Suffolk

This row of 12 almshouses was built under the will of Sir Robert Hitcham in 1654. They were built using materials from the demolished Framlingham castle buildings. They are one storey cottages with attics. They were built from red brick, laid in English Bond. In 2011 they are still in use as 12 sheltered homes.
